our mission
My Name is Griffin and before Knux, I spent my time in the Marine Corps as an Aviation Support Equipment Mechanic. While I certainly gained a wide variety of skills, the most important lesson I took away was that with a strong support system and mentorship, any mission is possible.
I founded Knux Garage because I wanted to bring that sense of community and support to the garage. I noticed a massive a gap between the driveway and the dealership. While most people would love to be able to take care of their vehicles, what holds them back is taking that first step.
Our mission is simple: We’re here to take the intimidation away. To provide the professional-grade space, the equipment, and the technical instruction—you provide the sweat equity. We aren’t just a DIY garage; we are a resource for the Rochester community. Whether you're here to save $500 on a brake job or you want to truly understand the machine that gets your family home every night, we’re here to make sure you never have to fly solo.

Stop paying for mystery labor. Our "Stopping Power" (Brakes) and "Roadside Resilience" (Maintenance) classes are hands-on, small-group sessions designed to take the intimidation out of the engine bay. You learn on your own vehicle, under the guidance of experienced Shop Mentors who have been where you are.

Your driveway isn't a shop. We offer a 10-bay shop floor equipped with professional Atlas 2-post lifts, an Armory of specialty tools, and free coffee all day long. Rent a bay by the hour, roll your project in, and get the job done right in a clean, safe environment.
