Bring your car
You learn on the car you actually drive. Wear clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes. Taking Oil & Tires? Bring the oil.

Knux & Bolts is for learning, we’ll inspect, remove, service & clean the parts, and put them back on. If we find something worn or in need of replacing, you get a written list of what’s needed and how to order the parts. Then book Session 2 of Stopping Power 1-on-1 and replace them yourself with me beside you. No extra inspection, no deposit.

Which one should I pick?

Do I need any experience?
None. This lesson is built for people who have never picked up a wrench. No question is a dumb one.
Will you replace my brakes?
Knux & Bolts is for learning: your brake parts get cleaned and put back on, not replaced. If we find something that needs work, you get a written list of what’s needed and how to order the parts, and you can book Stopping Power 1-on-1 Session 2 to do the job with me. No extra inspection, no deposit.
When are lessons?
Thursdays at 5 PM and Saturdays at 3 PM. Brakes or Oil & Tires alone fits either day. Both together is a Saturday.
What should I bring?
Your car, clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, closed-toe shoes and a curious mind. For Oil & Tires, bring the oil. In the colder months, bring a layer or two. The garage is heated.
Why do you ask for my VIN?
Your VIN tells me exactly what your car has, so I can send you a reference sheet ahead of time and help you get the right oil or parts.
How do I book?
